Our Story

Chuck Roland (right) grew up cutting grass and doing small landscaping jobs in his neighborhood in Boothwyn Pennsylvania. Chuck always enjoyed lawn work and had an eye for what would help improve a yard, so, in 1989, Chuck started Charae Landscaping. At this time Charae was being run out of Chuck’s home with fifty customers and four employees. For the first ten years in business, Charae did not advertise but simply grew by word of mouth because of the amazing results of their services. 

Today, Chuck and his son Doug Roland (left) run Charae, with the help of ten full-time employees, out of their shop in Wilmington, Delaware. Serving over five hundred residential, commercial, and government sites all in the tri-state area, Charae strives to provide excellent, professional work while maintaining all the benefits of a small, family-owned business."
